I think myopia and fences make a good combination.Both are loops along the edges and clues from each type work together nicely.This introductory example is almost easy.
Rules: Draw a single closed loop along the gridlines.The lines indicate the direction in which the loop is the closest to that cell.The numbers indicate how many edges of a cell are used by the loop.
