Puzzle 222: Bite the Threes


This puzzle was introduced by Nikoli with a three-word japanese title.It is a region division puzzle similar to Shikaku.
Rules: Divide the grid into some regions,each region containing a given number that equals the size of the region. Every region whose size is a multiple of 3,should be rectangular,but with one of its corners cut off(L-shaped).All other regions should be strictly rectangular.

Puzzle 221: Islands and Battleships


This is a new hybrid.

Rules: Shade some squares such that all shaded squares are reachable moving horizontally or vertically through other shaded squares.All unshaded squares should be divided into islands,such that each given number indicates the size of the island that it is contained in.Every island must have a number.No 2x2 square can be completely shaded. Then place all the ships from the given fleet, in the shaded squares.Ships cannot touch each other,even diagonally.Clues outside indicate the number of squares occupied by ships.

Rules:Divide the grid into polyominos ,and write a number in every cell,such that every number in the grid is contained in a polyomino of that area.Polyominos of the same size cannot touch through edges.A polyomino can contain one,more than one,or none of the given numbers.

Puzzle 216: Alternating Double back


Rules: Draw a single closed loop that passes through all cells exactly once.Every outlined region must be visited either once or twice,the number of visits alternating between consecutively visited regions.If for example,the loop enters region B immediately after leaving region A,it should visit A once(or twice)and B twice(or once).
