Puzzle 351: Capitals

This is a new puzzle type.

Rules: Divide the grid along the gridlines into non-overlapping countries( contiguous regions ). Countries can share borders unless they are equal in area. Numbers belong to the country of that area. Grey circles represent capitals, and each country has one capital.

Puzzle 350: Compass Snake

This is a new variation.

Rules: Find a snake in the grid whose head and tail are given. The snake moves horizontally and vertically and never touches itself, not even diagonally. All given clues are snake segments. Clues encode the direction the immediately preceding snake segment  is in. The direction of the snake's movement is constant.

Puzzle 349: Pentomino Minesweeper

Rules: Place each of the given pentominoes twice into the grid, with rotations and
reflections allowed. Pentominoes cannot touch each other, not even diagonally, and also cannot occupy numbered cells. Numbers indicate how many of the surrounding cells are occupied by pentomino parts, including diagonally adjacent cells.

Puzzle 347: Yajilink

This is a numberlink/arukone variation where clues double as those from yajilin.


Rules: Shade some cells such that each number represents how many shaded cells exist in each of the given directions. Then connect each pair of identical numbers with lines that pass vertically or horizontally through the centers of unshaded cells. The lines cannot overlap or intersect. Shaded cells cannot share edges.

Puzzle 346: Low Rise Neighborhood Skyscrapers

Rules: To solve this puzzle, follow the usual skyscraper rules. Additionally, there has to be exactly one instance of the tallest skyscraper(tallest in that group) among all the shaded cells.

Puzzle 345: Islandscape

Rules: Shade some cells to leave some islands, each island being a group of contiguous unshaded cells and each island containing exactly one circle. No two islands can be equal in size. When  two circles are orthogonally adjacent, one must belong to an island and the other must be water. Shaded cells cannot make  a 2x2 square anywhere in the grid, and must all be connected horizontally or vertically.

Puzzle 343: Seek and Scrabble

Rules: Place some of the given words to form an interconnected crossword where words can be read top
to bottom or left to right. Only words from the given list can appear in the grid. No word can occupy more than one shaded cell. Every Shaded cell must be used by at least one word. Write a different number 'm' in each shaded cell where the cell contains the mth letter of the word occupying the cell. If two words cross in a shaded cell, write two different numbers m and n. Indexes (m) must be unique across all shaded cells.
