Shikaku





Rules: Divide the grid into rectangles,every rectangle containing exactly one numbered circle.The number is equal to the area of the rectangle.Rectangles do not overlap.

Edit: A modification in the puzzle.

  1. You took down the tapa? That's a shame. That was a good variant and definitely fixable, but this is only possibly fixable.

    Before I explain that, I want to warn you that several other puzzles on this blog have more than one solution. I don't know if you plan to take all of them down as I name them, but it looks better if you apologize and replace the offending puzzles with fixed versions that have a couple new or altered clues.

    So in this case, the problematic area is an 11*3 patch containing clues of 3, 8, 10, and 12. There are two ways to split this up, and they use different dimensions for the 8 and 10 rectangles. I don't know whether merging, splitting, or moving clues will work best, but this is too good to erase.
